Summary: Sadly we had a very poor experience. We booked this hotel for our last night in Sicily, hoping for a high quality experience and amazing service. We were disappointed. It all started in the first 5 minutes. When have you ever checked in and gone to your room to find that there are no toilet rolls? We were given some very quickly but we should have realised that there was something amiss... When we went to use the shower, this morning, we discovered that it was broken (and had obviously been broken for some time)... so the room should never have been sold. When i pointed this out to the reception manager, his view was that I should have called the emergency number to get the shower fixed. (Can you imagine, naked in the bathroom at 7am, needing to get out to catch a flight... calling an engineer???) NO... The bottom line is that they should not have rented the room. I'm requesting a refund. Let's see how reasonable they are!
